Skills-based Knowledge Agents can update answers

Skills-based Knowledge Agents can now update answers, the same way Edit answer works on legacy agents. In Operator Mode, you chat your way to the right answer, then say “update the answer.” Guru saves the new text and sources and notifies the person who originally asked. Previously, correcting an answer this way was one of the main reasons teams stayed on legacy agents.

If you have the Manage questions permission and work with a skills-based agent, this is for you. It is especially useful for teams that held off on moving to skills because they did not want to lose answer editing. Everyone else will not see any change.

Updating an answer from Operator Mode covers the same ground as Edit answer on legacy agents, with one difference: source boosting is not included.

Open a skills-based Knowledge Agent in Operator Mode and pull up a recent answer that needs a correction. Work with the agent until the answer reads the way you want, then say “update the answer” and check that the asker is notified. Start with one answer before you work through a backlog.
